Late nights with JC

No really, it's in the wee hours of the morning and Wendi and I have found ourselves in the chapel studyin (or praying?!) with JC aka Jesus Christ lol.

I love being in the chapel, the quiet peace of it all, the calm it evokes, and the motivation that Mother Mary is watching you from both ends of the chapel to see if you've finished your work. This is the most productive I have been the past week or so. 

Hmm...may have to page JC a visit again soon!

first semester freshman year all over again

Hello ladies!

I got a very special treat in my leadership class today! My very first advisor in nursing stepped in to teach us while our professor is in a Nurse Policy Summit in DC. In a lot of ways, it felt like freshman year all over again but in a huge room with windows and it's early in the morning. 

YAAAAY! Bear with me, I'm having a nostalgic senior moment here ;)

Hello ladies!

Yesterday was a packed day for activities! After graduation fair, in the evening, we had our annual Winterfest. It's our campus' winter festival where there are games, henna, build a bear, caricature, etc. I can't believe it will e my last as a student. It's definitely and event that has grown since my freshman war and I can't wait to see what they will do with it in the future :)

Today I put my cap and gown, hood, etc together and I really bawled. I can't believe it's almost over. Notre Dame has been my home and it will always be but I guess we have to put that "transforming the world" to the test huh?

Confessions of a sick nursing student

You know that phrase we all hear in medicine that we have to take care of ourselves before we can provide care? Sometimes I forget that and so here I am missing yet another clinical day because of being sick. On the bright side, I'm on the upside of this...cold? I don't know. Aaaaaaand that in 18 hours or so I will actually be on campus for Scholarship Dinner and see some of our accepted students! Yaaaaaaaay! 

Oh, that and my research poster came in early. Like a week early and I didn't even have to pay the extra shipping cost :)

Oh the little things. Who's up with me burning the midnight oil? I'm pretending like I'm studying for a test.... Oops.

That was a more appropriate question last night as all 7+ inches of snow is already mush and water :( but Candra and I did have some fun in the snow last night! How did you spend the wintery night?

A hundred nights four years in the making

Hello ladies!

Last night was the time old tradition of 100 Nights, a cocktail hour + dinner + superlatives + off campus after party that marks roughly 100 nights before graduation. It was freezing cold but we braved the temperatures in our dresses, took Baltimore by a storm safely in our warm but still stylish gear well into the morning. Here are some shots of our night--LOL
