Take back the night!

Take Back the Night is an annual event, observed throughout   the United States as well as internationally, that brings community members together to speak out about sexual violence, relationship violence, and other forms of interpersonal violence. Take Back the Night provides an opportunity for community members to proclaim that each individual has the right to live free from violence and for the voices of those who have been affected by violence to be heard.

Self defense 101

Good morning Baltimore!

Okay maybe I'm not that cheerfully awake...

I'm up at the crack of dawn today studying for a test! Yikes I know! 

At least the tower is keeping me company...

Otherwise that has been my view for the past few days! 

Once today finishes, it repeats again on Friday. My study break will be learning about self defense later from a SWAT professional! I'm ubber excited! Pictures to come...wish me luck on this test first!

I love Saturdays!

It's the awesome day of the weekend where tomorrow is still an off day and yesterday I was off, too! 

This particular Saturday became more awesome when I got to hang out with Archbishop  Lori and the 1,000+ youths that stopped by for an awesome concert en route to the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen for the annual Archdiocese of Baltimore's Youth March. I did the full march and mass last year and its no joke. It truly is inspirational how dedicated and willing young people are to their faiths and give up their Saturdays for a faith journey. 

Anyway Archbishop Lori kindly agreed to get in a group photo with him.

Anyhow now that I had my awesome day, I have to face my 20 page clinical report...due tomorrow :( I have a pledge to myself that I must get it done before ASO tomorrow. That should be a great way to celebrate it! Woooot!

We debuted the new space today over cupcakes, cookies, chips, and yes, FREE tshirts! No joke! Check out my Lighthouse Campus Ministry Board in our fly new shirts. These will be perfect for Ravens season in the fall!
